Find your passion at the Be Involved Fair Aug. 28
Looking to join an organization or club? Want to find new ways to get involved in your community?
Stop by the annual Be Involved Fair Wednesday, Aug. 28, on Norlin Quad. This festival includes free food, music and giveaways from local vendors. More importantly, you can meet with hundreds of CU Boulder organizations and departments, as well as local nonprofit organizations. It's the best place to find all sorts of involvement opportunities!
Why you should go
Find your place at CU and make friends by getting involved. See everything that campus has to offer all in one place. Getting involved can help make campus feel “smaller” by finding your niche.
Get ready for the fair
Check out the list of organizations attending, and pick a few that sound interesting to you.
Bring your schedule for the semester.
Go with an open mind. You never know what might speak to you when you get there.
Write a short list of things you want from a club or volunteer opportunity. For example: work experience, meet new friends, be more active, etc. Check out several options and weigh them against your list.
Questions to ask
At the fair, ask questions to get an idea if an opportunity is a good fit for you. Here are some examples:
What does your organization do?
What does it look like being a part of your organization?
How can I get involved?
What kind of time commitment is there to be involved with your organization?
When do you meet?
Where are you located?
What resources does your department have for students?
