  • Event must be affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Colorado Boulder
  • Event must be of particular interest to the majority of students and/or employees
  • Event must not be a birthday, job posting or lost and found listing
  • Event must have a department or unit sponsor

The event submitter is expected to proofread content carefully before submitting events and will be responsible for correcting erroneous information in submissions, such as incorrectly reported dates, times, locations, event details, policies or procedures. Repeated inaccuracies, misuse, abuse or overuse of the calendar may result in restriction or termination of contribution rights.

No. While many events are posted to the university events calendar, some units may use a different calendar system or resource to let the community know about upcoming events. If you know of a unit that may be interested in using the official university events calendar, please direct them to the University Events Calendar webpage for more information.

The Campus Calendar is integrated with the university web platform; Web Express. Web Express offers several event blocks that may be placed on site and configured to display your events. All events blocks block offer specially themed display option so your events will coordinate with your site theme. See Web Express Event blocks tutorialsto learn more.

If you do not have a Web Express site follow these instructions to create a widget to display a list of events on your unit’s website.

Calendar Widget Tip Sheet

To post an event to the calendar, you must either have access to a unit calendar or have another university unit post the event to their calendar. Unit calendars can be requested by FSU employees at the director level or higher. To request access to a calendar, follow the instructions on this page: Request a Calendar.

Once your group is set up with a calendar, follow these instructions to post your event: Submit an Event

Logging in to the calendar gives you access to many interactive features. University of Colorado Boulder students, faculty and staff with a valid CUID (Identikey) have the most access to the calendar. If you fit in this group, you can RSVP, track events you are interested in, set up event reminders, and add items to your personal calendar.

Members of the general public can create and login with a Localist account. This account still gives you access to many of the features listed above.

If you do not log in at all, you will have limited functionality, but will still be able to see all events and share events to social media.

A university calendar featured events widget displays a subset of upcoming "Featured" university events, showing the next five events based on start time. If your event is not set to Featured and is not one of the next five events scheduled to occur, it will not appear. Once the start time for an event has passed, the event will rotate off the widget, even if it is a multi-day event. This way, all calendar entries have a fair chance of being posted on these prominent pages.

If you believe an event should be Featured, you may contact the Featured Events Calendar Manager to request its review.
