Congratulations, Buffs! Here’s to You.
You did it. Soon you'll be a CU Boulder graduate, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.
The celebrations begin at the university commencement ceremony, where the chancellor will officially confer degrees upon graduating students. During this traditional ceremony, the university will celebrate thousands of graduates as one and formally welcome you into the Forever Buff family.
The celebrations continue at the recognition ceremonies hosted by your specific college, school, department or program. Recognition ceremonies complement the commencement ceremony by allowing you to receive individual acknowledgment in a smaller, more intimate setting.
2026 Commencement
The 2026 commencement ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. MDT Saturday, May 2, at Folsom Field stadium and will last approximately 90 minutes. No tickets or registration required.
Recognition ceremonies hosted by our colleges, schools, departments and programs will occur following the commencement ceremony between May 1 and May 3.

Commencement Speaker: Kristin Davis
Kristin Davis, best known for her role as Charlotte York in the HBO series “Sex and the City” and its revival “And Just Like That…,” will deliver the CU Boulder spring 2026 commencement ceremony address.
Davis, who was born in Boulder and whose father was a CU Boulder psychology professor and her mother a CU alum, has been recognized for her work in television, film and stage, and her advocacy for humanitarian and environmental issues.
