Research: Whitney is advised by Dr. Evan Thomas at the Mortenson Center. She is interested in research that informs policy, protects the environment and improves public health. Her research includes evaluation and implementation of water security and drought-resilience projects in the Horn of Africa and the attribution of nature-based solutions on improved in-stream water quality in the Yampa River. Whitney loves working with and learning from her passionate peers and advisors in Environmental Engineering. She helps organize the entirely student-run Colorado WASH Symposium, hosted by CU Boulder and is a graduate peer mentor.
