Brian Goode

Brian is the Chief Administrative Officer at Denver Water. He currently oversees a variety internal functions including environmental compliance, sustainability, Geographic Information Systems, procurement, emergency management, safety, security, information technology and cyber security. His previous roles at Denver Water include Director of Operations and Maintenance, Deputy Manager of Organizational Improvement and first Supervisor of Denver Water’s 30 MGD Recycled Water Treatment Plant. Prior to Denver Water, Brian worked for Illinois American Water. Brian is a member of AWWA and was a board member and past-president of the WateReuse Association. He is a member of the National Blue Ribbon Commission for Onsite Non-Potable Water Systems and played an integral role in the redevelopment of Denver Water’s operations complex, which includes an on-site blackwater treatment and reuse system and a certified net-zero energy administration building. He holds a Colorado Class A Drinking Water Treatment license and was a guest lecturer and advisor for the University of Colorado’s Water Utility Management program from 2012 to 2019, co-authoring a textbook published by the Water Environment Federation titled The Effective Water Professional. Brian received a BS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and a MBA from the University of Colorado.
