2026 Environmental Engineering Capstone Senior Design Awards
Seniors showcased their capstone projects at a special public expo on Friday.
The 2026 College of Engineering and Applied Science Projects Expo brought together students from eight majors, including environmental engineering, to present their senior capstone design projects.
Held at the Ford Practice Field on April 17, the event welcomed undergraduate and graduate students, industry, friends, family, and the general public to explore student solutions to complex engineering problems.
Five environmental engineering projects received special accolades for their work
Judges' Choice Award for Best Engineering Design
- Project: Plum Creek Water Reclamation System Upgrade for Nitrogen & Phosphorus

- This project is also the Environmental Engineering Program entry to the 2026 RMWEA Student Design Competition.
Judges' Choice Award for Best Modeling Effort
