BLM Internship Opportunities
Hello BLM internship partners and supporters,
We are excited to share some great internship opportunities with you all! Please see attached six position descriptions for current openings, with brief descriptions included below. In an attempt to extend our reach and impact, CYCA will be sharing these opportunities as they become available. So as not to inundate you with emails, new positions will be sent out in batches, no more than once every week or two.
A reminder that there is a required three week posting period for these positions, but this may be waived immediately if the applicant has completed a term of service with either a CYCA-accredited youth corps or a 21st Century Conservation Service Corps organization.
Since its inception in 2011, the BLM internship program has resulted in:
• 107 interns serving at BLM Field Offices, the CO State Office, and the NOC
• 37% of the interns qualify as diversity hires
• Over 56,000 hours of service performed, and
• $1.9 million in BLM funds obligated to date
These valuable internships are in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management Colorado State Office, BLM Field Offices and the BLM National Operations Center (NOC) here in Colorado. Internships focus on a diverse range of duties including information technology, firefighting, public information officers, hydrology, GIS mapping and others.
