Please join Engineering Staff Council for our annual Professional Community Week! This year, our theme is "promoting staff wellness" — something we all need to take time for after a busy academic year. Enjoy free food, puppies, social time, and much more!

Monday, May 22

Campus Tree Walk

Hosted by CU Engineering HR

Did you know that campus has around 5,000 trees? Learn all about them in a tour with campus arborist Vince Aquino. Refreshments will be provided at the start of the tour.

Staff Happy Hour

RSVP and ID required for admittance

Celebrate the start of summer with your colleagues! Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided.

All-Levels Yoga

Aaron Asmundson, director of the Engineering Residential Community, will lead this session. Please bring your own mat (and extras, if you're able).

Mindfulness and Stress Management Workshop

Paulette Erickson-England, counselor in the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, will lead this interactive session.

Staff Appreciation Breakfast Burritos

Stop by and grab a burrito from Cafe Mexicali on the way to your office! 

  • Time: 8:30-10 a.m.
  • Location: Engineering Center courtyard (or DLC lobby in case of rain) and Aerospace Building lobby
Arts and Crafts Drop-in

Bring your own craft project to work on, or choose from available crafts including embroidery, origami, knitting and adult coloring. We'll also have some Legos and games available!

Work-Life Balance 101 Workshop

This hybrid session will be led by Esther Maria Horowitz, counselor for the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program. Join us in-person or on Zoom!

Puppy Playtime!

De-stress by petting puppies, brought to you by Lifeline Puppy Rescue. 

  • Time: 11 a.m.-noon
  • Location: Outside on the lower level of Engineering Center or Idea Forge in case of inclement weather
