School of Education Graduation Ceremony Speaker Nomination

Do you have a story to tell or advice for fellow graduates, or would you like to nominate a fellow classmate to speak at our graduation ceremony?

Our School of Education Graduation Ceremony is a special time to celebrate our students across majors, minors, teacher licensure, master's and doctoral program areas. Each year, we invite student speakers to tell their stories at our heart-warming ceremony in Macky Auditorium. Student speeches are 5 minutes or less, and faculty coaches can give you pointers should you want support. Please submit your nominations by March 25, and speakers will be selected and notified on or around April 14. Please consider self-nominations or nominating a peer!

Please note: nominees will have full agency and opportunities to accept or decline to speak should they be selected, and sharing aspects of their story is entirely up to them. However, your nomination gives the selection committee valuable insights into the nominee's experiences through the eyes of their peers, which will aid the selection process.
