The CU Boulder School of Education is hosting a special Homecoming Open House on Friday, Nov. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Alumni and friends will have opportunities to tour the remodeled new home of the School of Education and see what is up next with project renovations.
The school moved into the remodeled Fleming building in 2020 at a time when the campus and community were limiting gatherings of more than a few people due to the pandemic. The school’s Building the Future of Education initiative is now in its phase two of fundraising and renovations that will bring all education programs and centers under one roof for the first time in recent history.
"Our Homecoming Open House is our first opportunity to invite our broader community to visit us in our beautifully renovated space and to reconnect in person with our alumni and supporters,” said Kathy Schultz, dean of the School of Education. “After a long stretch of connecting with one another in mostly virtual settings, we are thrilled to come together as a community, celebrate Homecoming, and share the exciting changes that are happening in our school.”

Open house guests will hear from the dean and education faculty about the exciting milestones happening in the School of Education and enjoy ample opportunities to reunite with fellow alumni at a reception with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
The event closes in time for attendees to join the Pearl Street Stampede, the pep rally of all pep rallies, on the Pearl Street mall. The Open House fits neatly into the schedule for many of CU Boulder Homecoming’s most popular events, including the Stampede, the Alumni Awards Ceremony, Buffs on Tap, and, of course, the game on Nov. 6.
