A screening appointment is the introductory appointment at CAPS. The screening is a brief one-on-one appointment with a CAPS provider to identify your primary concerns and help get you connected to support and resources.
The screening appointment will last about 20 minutes and you will leave your screening appointment with a plan to help manage your concerns.
Screening appointments are offered via telehealth or in-person at CAPS.
If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
A screening appointment is not a crisis or urgent appointment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please refer to our I’m in Crisis page.
