Student speaking with counselor

You can connect with CAPS in a variety of ways. Here are some of your options:

Visit Us

If you would like to explore your options for personalized counseling services, please stop by for a walk-in visit in our main office in the Center for Community Suite N352.

CAPS staff are available for walk-ins at our main office (C4C N352) throughout the week:

  • Monday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please note: Students are generally seen on a first come, first served basis during walk-in hours. The afternoons are the busiest time so we encourage students to visit earlier in the day (especially before 3:15 p.m.). If walk-in hours are full, students will be scheduled for the following day.

When you arrive for a walk-in, you will be asked to complete some forms at one of our computer stations. These forms help us understand how to best support you and connect you with the right services.

Once you’ve completed the required forms, you will meet briefly with a walk-in counselor to discuss your concerns and what you hope to gain from CAPS services.

The walk-in counselor will help you explore your options, understand our services and work with you one-on-one to develop a care plan that meets your specific needs and goals.

Workshops

Workshops are a great way to connect with CAPS resources without completing a walk-in session. Our workshops offer tips, tools and information to help students build skills around a variety of topics. All workshops are free and confidential.
