CAPS is a place where you can talk confidentially with a licensed therapist who respects and understands your needs.
After an initial walk-in session, students are matched with an individual counselor with whom they will collaboratively develop a plan to address their concerns and goals.
We offer counseling on a variety of concerns including, but not limited to:
- Academic performance
- Adjusting to CU
- Alcohol & other drugs
- Body image and disordered eating
- Coming out
- Cultural identity
- Family, friendships and relationships
- Financial insecurity
- Stress managment
- Suicidal thoughts
Many of our therapists are trained to help couples improve communication and work through relationship issues. If it is decided that CAPS is not the best place to meet your needs, we will provide referrals to more appropriate resources on campus or in the community.
