Jiffer Harriman

Jiffer Harriman is a creative technologist, musician, and educator working at the intersection of sound, interactivity, and physical computing. His latest project is an interactive musical arcade — supported by a City of Boulder Experiments in Public Art grant — that brings a playable installation to locations across the city. He builds digital music instruments, musical robots, and interactive video and sound installations; produces music, including the 2026 album Evergreen with Penelope Jane; and teaches in CMDP at CU Boulder. His studio, Modular Muse, produces commissioned interactive sound art for museums, festivals, and public art programs, and he founded Boulder Experiments in Art and Technology (B.E.A.T.). He holds a Ph.D. from CU Boulder's ATLAS Institute, a master's from Stanford's CCRMA, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from CU Boulder.
