Danielle Alberti (Jour) is the data visualization editor at Axios. She was previously a data visualization developer at Pew Research Center for five years. She lives near Washington, D.C.

Laura Henneman (Advert) received a law degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2015 and is an attourney with Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, where she and practices product liability, personal injury and commerical litigation. She lives in Chicago and is a proud finisher of the 2018 Chicago Marathon.

Alexander Kirk (Jour) is now a newscast director at KUSA-TV 9NEWS in Denver. He was previously a newscast director at KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, he was a newscast director at KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming from 2011 to 2014.

Andrew Sorensen (Jour) is the new senior manager of media and public relations for Kaiser Permanente Colorado after several years as CU Boulder spokesperson and assistant director of communications. He was previously a reporter for 9NEWS (KUSA) in Denver. He also reported for Time Warner Cable News in North Carolina and New York.

Josh Reising (Jour) recently moved to Dallas to serve as director of media and creative content for the women’s basketball team at Southern Methodist University. Prior to that, he worked with Altitude Sports, where he won an Emmy for the network’s on-air graphics.

Jacob Elyachar (Jour) hosts a platform, Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar, which is celebrating its 11th year. The podcast has welcomed a variety of guests that range from reality TV stars to entertainment icons such as Howie Mandel and Desmond Child. He is also working at Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City.

Mitchell Byars (Jour) has been reporting for the Daily Camera since 2011. Originally from Kona, Hawaii, over the past decade, Byars has become one of the most trusted sources for breaking news, police and court reporting in Boulder County and beyond. During the 2013 Colorado floods, he stayed up for two nights in the newsroom to post updates on the Camera’s website and social media. He was also a leader in the coverage of this year’s shooting at a Boulder King Soopers. He is respected and well known in the Boulder community for his witty “scanner for the win” tweets, his vocal advocacy of local and ethical journalism, and his support of CMCI students through career fairs and internship opportunities.

Jacob Elyachar (Jour) is celebrating the ninth anniversary of his entertainment news website, jakes-take.com. He has interviewed several Epic Records artists and alumni from reality TV shows, including America's Got Talent, Big Brother, The Challenge and Survivor. He covered the New York Comedy Festival, New York Comic-Con and the Wolfpack Ninjas’ visit to the New York Open. He also launched the Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar podcast.

Genesis Samayoa-Hidalgo (Jour'11, Span'11) is a three-time Emmy award-winning journalist and Golden Mike recipient. She is a multiplatform producer with Telemundo Network’s KVEA (Channel 52) in Los Angeles, California, where she plays a leading role in the station’s daily news coverage. She is a Denver native and a fervent believer in God. Her interests include writing, cozying up with a good book, visiting coffee shops, wanderlusting and spending time with family.

Cydney Ricker (Jour) is the manager of football communications and administration for the Kansas City Chiefs. The 2018 season marked her seventh season with the club’s communications department. Previously, she was a public relations intern for the Denver Broncos and worked for the CU Boulder Sports Information Department from 2006 to 2010.
