CHA New Team Member Highlight: Adele Potter

Introducing the Center for Humanities & the Arts’ new program manager.

Adele Potter has recently joined CU Boulder’s Center for Humanities & the Arts (CHA) as our new Temporary Program Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for the humanities. Having spent 15 years at CU Boulder, most recently as the Business Manager for the Special Events Department under Student Affairs, Adele sought a position that would allow her to engage more actively with the community.

Adele’s background in humanities and history, combined with her desire to promote meaningful dialogue, made the Center an ideal fit. As the Program Manager, she facilitates awards, stipends, and fellowships that support faculty, staff, and graduate students, reflecting her commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the arts.

Adele’s vision for the CHA aligns with her belief in the transformative power of the humanities. She sees her role as not only administrative but also as a conduit for connection, eager to support programs that have a significant impact on the community.

Outside of work, Adele enjoys traveling, hiking, and creating flower arrangements, reflecting her love for nature and creativity. A self-proclaimed book lover, she finds inspiration in Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, which resonates with her personal journey of resilience and transformation.

Adele is enthusiastic about her new position and encourages others to get involved with CHA’s initiatives. She believes in the importance of the arts and humanities in fostering dialogue and understanding, inviting everyone to participate in the enriching events the center has to offer. As she settles into her role, her dedication and enthusiasm are sure to make a lasting impact on the CHA and the broader CU Boulder community.
