Environmental Engineerings
English (5)
I do not have any travel experience that would prepare me for the Global Engineering RAP. If I were able to join the community, I would want to join to learn how to contribute to the noble cause that Global Engineering focuses on.
I would want someone who has similar interests as me living down the hall. Specifically, someone who cares about their education and community, and wants to join clubs or go to games to be involved in the Boulder community. However, while I want someone with similar interests so there is some connection, I would want someone with a different background so that I could learn a new perspective. A minor example would be someone from another background seeing one of their ethnic foods in the dining halls and suggesting it to me because they think I would enjoy it.
The Global Engineering RAP has a very specific goal so it has a lot of like minded people as members. This creates an environment for collaboration which I would be honored to be a part of. One of the main reasons I wanted to do environmental engineering is its ability to have a large scale impact, no matter what specialty I choose. I think that Global Engineering would give me an opportunity to experience the larger scale of environmental engineering that I was hoping to be part of, and would give me the opportunity to experience cultures I have previously not been exposed to. I personally would be able to contribute my work ethic until I have enough experience to contribute specific skills.
