Travel experiences that have prepared me for the global engineering rap is flying out to Europe; specifically, Sweden and Norway. Going to both countries allowed me to gain new sights of infrastructure such as the “old town” in Sweden and the suburban like town home system in Norway and how they are similar to systems in the US. Furthermore using systems form different parts of the world can allows us to help 3rd world countries into improving or even building ways to expand their technologies to modern day technology and infrastructures.
The person I would want to live with is someone who is outgoing and has aspirations/goals they have that can impact themselves or others for the greater good and can spread their positive mindset to others so they too can act in their own to push change.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I want to create an impact for a group of people who are unfortunate in the situation they are in. Working together with like minded people who want to change people’s lives for the greater good is a community I would love to be part of because of how I can become a better person socially but can also learn about different cultures form groups around the world. With learning something new form a foreign place each time I can obtain new insights and understandings of how the world is and why people are struggling. As an engineer to create or build what is needed for different societies around the world is necessary to move the world forward.
