Mechanical Engineering
English (5), Spanish (2)
Over the summer of my Sophomore year, I attended the Civil Air Patrol North Carolina Wing Encampment. The Encampment was a week-long program where each cadet is assigned to a flight/unit and must work with their team members throughout the week to overcome various physical and mental challenges. My experience in Civil Air Patrol and especially this encampment has drastically improved my ability to work within and lead a team, and I look forward to applying these skills to the Global Engineering RAP to further my education within engineering.
I would want the person living down the hall from me in the Global Engineering RAP to be ambitious and have a clear goal of what they want to achieve in studying engineering. This person would be sociable and willing to be a part of a study group in an effort to enhance the understanding of our classmates.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I want to make the most of my mechanical engineering education. There is no better way to accomplish this than to be surrounded by like-minded individuals in the RAP and working together to form a community that prioritizes academic success. In doing so, we would generate a source of motivation for students to feed off of in their own pursuit to succeed, as well as encourage the formation of study groups that will further the understanding of engineering in each of those involved.
