I was raised in an adventurous family that strayed from the beaten path in our travels abroad. When traveling in Europe and Canada, we hike, camp, and explore diverse cultures. When traveling in the Caribbean, we did not stay in hotels but instead sailed to remote islands, enjoying the local culture. I believe these experiences have prepared me to engage in the Global Engineering RAP to the fullest.
Having lived a diverse life, they bring a new concept and perspective to the discussion every time. They always know how to moderate arguments while being curious to others view points. They have fascinating stories but are also interested in listening to the stories of others. With a love for helping people and knowing how engineering can do that, they brighten everyones lives.
In 2019, as an employee of Brilliant Harvest LLC, my father’s solar contracting business, I visited the Solar Power International conference in Salt Lake City Utah. Upon arriving, I was immediately in awe of not only the number of businesses who had attended, but also the number of people who cared about a future in renewable energy. So many individuals, carrying their own ideas and entrepreneurship were all in the same place at the same time. It was inspiring. I want to be a part of the Global Engineering RAP because I want to help engineer renewable energies around the world. This community will contribute to my training because I will continue to advance my Spanish fluency, and I will learn how to engineer clean energy solutions around the world. I will contribute my passion for clean energy and energy storage, and I will be able to share my experiences working for a solar contractor, bringing with me the view that renewable energy is truly a transformative opportunity to end poverty and climate change.
