I do not have a lot of travel or study abroad experiences, but I'm hoping to study abroad in the next 4 years. Covid-19 restricted a lot of my travel plans. However, I studied IB Spanish, which helped me understand the language from a global perspective. I also have traveled within the United States, and have had the honor of working on the Blackfeet reservation in Northern Montana. I helped with their summer programs with children, setting up for one of their festivals, and more.
If I were to live in the Global Engineering RAP, I would want an academically driven individual to live down the hall from me. I would also want someone who wants to take advantage of opportunities given, both within engineering and also within exploring Colorado and socializing. I think it is important to have a community to study with and also build connections.
I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder to get to know others who are interested both in engineering and also the global perspective of STEM. I think being able to be a part of this community would help me explore connections between the different areas of engineering. I also think that being a part of this community would help me become a part of a group with those who share my interests and academic dedication. I also would love to be able to collaborate with others, to give and receive help within my studies.
