Born in Accra, Ghana, Selasee Atiase grew up immersed in the vibrant sounds of Highlife, shaping a musical identity that blends easy-listening reggae, West African rhythms, and American pop. Singing in both English and West African languages, he creates a bright, globally appealing sound rooted in storytelling and connection. After migrating to the US in 2001, Selasee’s debut album Run earned international recognition, winning the World Music category at the International Songwriters Competition, with tracks featured in EA Sports games. He has performed at major events like MIDEM and MUSEXPO and received honors from the Independent Music Awards. His later work includes African Gate and Time For Peace, which he collaborated with Aston "Family Man" Barrett and featuring Anthony B.
