Profile

Xiansheng Tian is a Professor Emeritus of History at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he taught courses on modern Chinese history, modern Japanese history, and the history of East Asia since 1800. He has published widely on topics concerning American relations with China, the history of Chinese scholars in the United States, and Taiwanese political history. Prior to coming to the Metropolitan State Univeresity of Denver, he taught at Oklahoma State University; Yellow River University in Zhengzhou, China; and Henan University in Kaifeng, China.
