Profile

Bob Kling joined the Economics Department in 1984 and has served as Department Chair, Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies, and Coordinator of Graduate Studies. Fields of interest include microeconomics and environmental economics.  He currently serves as the Senior Academic Officer for Semester at Sea, having sailed as Academic Dean for the Spring 2017 voyage. From 2008 to 2017 he coordinated the CSU-FTU Vietnam Economics Curriculum Program with the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi. He has taught as visiting lecturer at the Foreign Trade University (Vietnam), the Technical University of Budapest (Hungary), the University of Naples (Italy), and with the Semester at Sea program, and he has been visiting scholar at the University of Montpellier (France).
