Profile

Raza Ali Hasan is the author of three books of poetry, Grieving Shias (Sheep Meadow Press, 2006), 67 Mogul Miniatures (Autumn House Press, 2009) and Sorrows of the Warrior Class (Sheep Meadow Press, 2015). His poems have appeared in AGNI, Shenandoah, and Crazyhorse. A small selection of his poems has been archived on Poetry Foundation Website. Currently, his fourth poetry book, tentatively titled, The Mystery of PDE or Newton’s First Law of Motion, with tropes and topics from elementary Calculus and Physics is under review at poetry presses until it finds a home. He is originally from Islamabad, Pakistan and came to America in 1991.
