Liza has been working at the Center for Asian Studies since 2017.

Liza has an MFA in Theater Directing from the University of Iowa and a PhD in Theater History, Theory and Criticism from CU Boulder. She has taught at Colorado State, Naropa University, CU Boulder, The Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, CU Denver, The University of Iowa, Plymouth State University in NH and Marlboro College in Vermont. She is currently teaching part-time at UC Denver.

Liza has worked professionally in theater as a designer, manager, director, technician, and in marketing and publicity for over 30 years.  She brings her experience in theatrical production, stage management, and 11 years working in many capacities at CU Boulder to the event coordinator position at CAS.

Liza moved to New England after earning her PhD, but succumbed to “Niwot’s revenge” and returned to Boulder in 2015.
