Profile

Jiun Bang joined the Colorado College faculty in 2021. Her research interests span a wide spectrum, ranging from International Relations Theory (IRT), conflict and diplomacy, geopolitics of Northeast Asia and gendered politics. Her current major project involves the commodification of nationalism: how people drink, eat, wear nationalism, and how this retains domestic public resonance for inter-state territorial disputes in Northeast Asia.

Previously, she has taught at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan.
