JLF Colorado Executive Director: Job Description

About JLF Colorado

The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is a FREE international literature festival dedicated to diversity, equity, great writing and imagination, and disseminating knowledge from diverse perspectives. Originating in India in 2007, within 5 years JLF exploded into the largest literature festival in the world. Since that time, JLF has inspired over 200 literary festivals across the globe in places such as Lahore, Dakha, Kenya, South Africa, Israel, Moscow, Cairo and many more locations where the free exchange of thoughts and information is not a given or taken for granted.

We were very fortunate to bring the Jaipur Literature Festival to Boulder, CO in 2015, as the first branch of JLF outside of Jaipur, India! In September of 2022 we presented our 8th festival; 2020 and 2021 were virtual of course. JLF Colorado continues to give visibility to marginalized writers and cultures, offers one of the most diverse cultural events in Boulder, and remains free, providing access for all. JLF Colorado works very closely with Teamwork Arts, the Indian producers and founders of JLF who are based in Delhi, India. The Boulder Public Library and City of Boulder have been sponsors of JLF Colorado from the beginning and donate space and staffing free of charge as well as financial support. We are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Boulder Arts Commission, Colorado Creative Industries, and SCFD among other sponsors and patrons. https://jlflitfest.org/colorado
