CAS Faculty Director Rachel Rinaldo has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar in Indonesia for 2022-2023. She will be studying how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected women's work in Indonesia, and what challenges and barriers Indonesian women face in working during the pandemic recovery period. She is especially interested in how women's family situations, caregiving responsibilities, interpretations of religion, and educational backgrounds shape their decisions to work outside the house as well as their experiences of work. While Rinaldo is on sabbatical, Professor Tim Oakes, who was previously CAS Faculty Director, will return as interim director.
