This is a non-tenure-track position for the academic year 2022-23 with some possibility for renewal. We seek applicants who bring a dynamic research and teaching agenda in queer and/or trans studies. We are particularly interested in scholars of Asian and Pacific Islander queer and/or trans studies, or those who work in or with queer and/or trans of color critique. The primary duties of this position consist of teaching four regularly scheduled courses (two per semester) in the department of Gender, Race, Identity. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses, including an introductory course in LGBTQ studies and one or more advanced courses related to their research. In addition to teaching, the fellow is also expected to advance their own research agenda and to contribute to programming in the GRI during the course of their appointment. The fellow will be able to draw on resources including a GRI faculty mentor, the support of UNR’s Office for Postdoctoral Affairs, and other resources in the College of Liberal Arts. For full consideration, applications must be received by March 8, 2022.
