The March 21 issue of the Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine features an article entitled Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum uses foreign languages as a tool to ‘open new avenues of inquiry and communication to enhance whatever you are studying'. The article outlines the CLAC initiative which was launched in 2017 with funding from an Undergraduate Education Development Grant.

Danielle Rocheleau Salaz, our Executive Director, spearheaded the initiative knowing that as education needs to address more inroads to help students navigate globalization, the use of languages to explore subjects beyond language classes has been proven to be an incredibly effective teaching tool. Current CU CLAC courses teach co-curricular courses in an Asian language related to a course's main subject.
