Colorado China Council is accepting applications from graduates who are interested in teaching in a Chinese university in AY 2016-17.

Overview for university teaching in China:

  • Must have a B.A., MA, or PhD.  Couples and professional teachers encouraged to apply 
  • Teaching background preferable but not absolutely necessary                
  • No Chinese language necessary
  • Commitment from late August till end of June or early July
  • Excellent mental and physical health, FLEXIBILITY, motivation, commitment and humor are a must
  • Teach c. 16-20 hours per week:  reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as history,  and
  • Western culture,  literature, economics, IT, or business for people with advanced degrees

Chinese universities provide:

  • EXCELLENT pay by Chinese standards.  Free housing in private apartment
  • Half or more of international airfare reimbursed in the spring
  • Medical benefits 
  • Six-to eight-week paid vacation over Chinese New Year, plus other holidays!
  • A great opportunity to travel, teach some extraordinary students and explore a fascinating and diverse country

Colorado China Council program fees cover:

  • Placement and contract negotiation, assistance with all forms including acquisition of Chinese visa, Chinese govt. health certificate, some teaching & orientation materials, and airport pickup
  • Fees also cover: all program, application  & administrative fees: 
  • Total $800.00, plus $150. Application fee
  • Fees go up after February 1, 2016.

Deadline: Rolling Admissions but fees increase in the spring.
