This Saturday, January 11, Dr. Pradip Thomas will come to CU to deliver a plenary lecture at the fifth in a series of international conferences held by the Center for Media, Religion, and Culture. These conferences bring together an interdisciplinary community of scholars and media practitioners for focused conversations on emerging theoretical and methodological issues in media and religion at the global level. Dr. Thomas is a leading academic in the area of communication and social change, communication rights, religion and media, and the political economy of communications in India. His plenary lecture will discuss the relationship between religion, media, and culture in India. The lecture will be held at 9:00 am in Humanities 250.
