In this Brown Bag event, Amy Liu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, will discuss Chinese Migration in Europe. In the past twenty years, Eastern Europe has become an increasing popular destination for Chinese migrants. In fact, Hungary is the top destination outside the OECD countries. What explains this development? This project identifies several politically-motivated explanations, including citizenship laws, presence of radical right-wing parties, and language policies in education.

This event will be on Monday, November 11, at 12:00 p.m., in Guggenheim 201E.
