China Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections, November 16, 2011

At this 5th annual China Town Hall, two prominent speakers addressed the subject of China's current political, economic and military position within Asia and the world, which is critical to the health of the fragile world economy and security issues. The first speaker was Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981.  Dr. Brzezinski delivered his remarks via closed-caption video.  Following his talk, we heard in person from David Gries, a former CIA official, who is now Executive Director of China Vitae, an online database providing information to the public on over 4,000 Chinese leaders.  Following the two talks audience members were given an opportunity to offer comments and to ask questions.
