Stephen Heymann graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. He spent a decade working as a designer and art director, creating award-winning publications and working internationally as a senior marketing designer in aerospace tech. He returned to pursue graduate-level studies in the Emergent Digital Practices program at the University of Denver, with the eventual goal of teaching art and design in higher education. Continuing his education at CU Boulder’s ATLAS Program, Stephen is exploring the intersections of nature and technology, seeking to leverage the power of intelligent biological systems to fabricate and inform his work.
