Stephanie Wanek manages ATLAS’ operations and outreach activities, including spaces, programs and people, as well as some of the big picture and strategic planning as ATLAS continues to grow. A part of the university since 2006, including working for the University of Colorado Foundation, Stephanie has served in roles including development/fundraising, communications, event coordination and as program manager for ATLAS’ partner, National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT).  Mostly, she thrives being in a dynamic place where every day looks different, her colleagues are inspiring and students are doing fun and amazing things!

In this interview with the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine, Stephanie Wanek, assistant director of operations for the ATLAS Institute, talks about how ATLAS is positioned to train the next generation to solve today's big problems–such as climate change, humanitarian issues and alternative energies. "Sometimes change starts with a bunch of people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives coming together and tinkering around with an idea," she said.
