My primary interest is in the art of connectivity. My research links methods in digital humanities and postcolonial feminist geography to map affects of hope generated and transported by the global Lebanese community, specifically through Instagram. In this I ask, how do transnational communities cultivate spaces of connection digitally and virtually? What do these digital and virtual spaces offer by way of imagining futures of/for Lebanese people? I am interested in developing methods of research and knowledge production that engage actively in thinking about and moving between these varied but increasingly blurred spaces.
