Latifa Al-Naimi is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she is advised by Dr. Mirela Alistar. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction (HCI), social computing, and cross-cultural design. Latifa is particularly interested in incorporating cultural and religious values into technology to develop inclusive and accessible digital platforms that support women’s health. She is committed to empowering underrepresented communities, primarily Arab and Muslim women. As part of the Living Matter Lab, she collaborates with researchers in biodesign and bioinformatics, contributing to user study design and data analysis to enhance user experiences.
