John Gunther is a composer and multi-instrumentalist, playing saxophone, clarinet and flute. With a restless musical spirit, he explores all forms of jazz from traditional to avant-garde, as well as classical, world and electronic music. John has performed throughout the U.S., South America and Europe, in Carnegie Hall, in the middle of the ocean and on the back of a truck. He is the director of CU Boulder’s Thompson Jazz Studies Program and a professor of jazz studies for the university’s College of Music.

B2 Residency Details

John's residency will be focused on research and experimentation with B2's performance technologies, including the Ambisonic  Sound System, Motion capture, Projection, Video Mapping, and Green Screen. More information coming soon!
