Jeeeun Kim is a fourth-year PhD student at the Sikuli Lab and the Craft Tech Lab.

While seeking the gap between the physical and the real world, Kim hopes to seamlessly interpolate an aperture from conceptual design thinking to virtual models to physical artifacts. She is developing an algorithm that assigns intelligence to the fabrication machine to open a communication channel with humans as designers. Kim also implements novel interfaces to provide designers fluid fabrication experiences that applies their emerging design mind and unpredictable organic input over time, pushing the lower/upper boundaries of fabrication and incrementally augmenting the physical world we live in.
