Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have great potential to impact low-resource settings and affect the lives of people living in poverty. Mustafa Naseem's work deals with overcoming constraints, such as lack of ICT infrastructure, low-literacy and low-income, by designing ICT solutions. Past projects have addressed access and quality of public health, as well as water and sanitation facilities in emerging markets. While his most recent work has focused on Pakistan, he's worked in Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania and Botswana, researching and teaching human-centered computing for development.
