Dr. Shubhankar Post doc image
Post Doctoral Research Associate, TOUGH HYDROGEL, POLYMER SYNTHESIS, FLEXIBLE ELECTRONICS
ATLAS Institute

Dr. Mandal obtained his PhD from Polymer Materials Lab, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, India. His research interest includes synthesis and characterization of tough polymeric hydrogels, wearable electronics/sensors, flexible batteries and soft actuators. He worked in a very interdisciplinary field of research from organic chemistry to polymer science, electronics, material science and engineering. After receiving PhD, he spent a short while as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati for the development of surface modified composite and hydrogel materials for smart wearable sensors. Here at ATLAS, CU Boulder he is associated with synthesizing microfluidics based microgel self-assembly and its applications. Beside research activities he used to experiment with painting, photography, 3D art and creative design.
