Chrissy Charlton

  • Student MS — CTD Creative Industries
  • ATLAS INSTITUTE

Chrissy has spent the last decade optimizing organizational results through product strategy, UX research and systems thinking. Working at the intersection of technology and human-centered design, it raised an important question: what are the invisible connections between us, and what would it take to make them visible?

In her IRB-approved study on brainwave art and collective neural experiences, she uses real-time neurofeedback installations to explore collective wellbeing through consumer EEG, investigating what it means to design for group neural experiences rather than individual optimization. Working with sensors, neurotechnology and embodied art environments, her work raises questions about cognitive liberty, consent, and the pro-social potential of shared neural data.

She is also an Art of Science Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Chrissy holds an MBA with a focus on Design Strategy from California College of the Arts.
