Don graduated in 1965 from CUB with a BA in Distributed Studies – focusing on Chemistry, Biology and Geology. After a 20-year career in the Air Force, Don worked for Lockheed-Martin and Northrop-Grumman on various federal government agency contracts for NASA, the FAA, GSA, and the US Postal Service before retiring in 2005. After retiring, Don and his wife, Fran, moved Williamsburg, VA then relocated to Colorado in 2012. Don and Fran currently reside in Lafayette, CO and enjoy the 300 days of sunshine, golf, skiing and travel as well as participate in activities at CU-Boulder and in Denver. They have taken trips with the Roaming Buffaloes and assisted with the admissions process for prospective students from the greater Washington, DC, area. From 2007 to 2009, Don served on the CU-Boulder Alumni Association Board of Advisors and then joined the Directors Club in 2013, serving as Secretary since then. He and his wife raised two children, including a CU alum. Their son, Don and his wife, Kim, live in St. Johns, FL, with their children, Nicholas and Ella. Their daughter, Alison (IntAf, PolSci’01), is, since graduating from law school at the University of Denver, a partner at Lathrop Gage in Denver.
