Ubaida Sanda is the Accountant for Sama Sama, iDE Ghana’s social enterprise providing improved and aspirational WASH products and services in Northern Ghana. iDE Ghana’s sanitation market program has resulted in the sale of over 6,000 toilets, and Ubaida has been intimately involved with the implementation of the digital financing tools that have allowed Sama Sama to reach more customers.She also supports IDE Ghana’s agricultural project, Korsung, which trains smallholder farmers on the use of modern-day technologies and agronomic systems in vegetable production across Northern Ghana. Ubaida has over five years of experience in providing financial and administrative guidance, and believes in the power of financial technology to transform access.
Prior to joining IDE in 2017, Ubaida has worked as an Accounts Clerk at National Health Insurance Authority and Accounts Associate at Madina Polyclinic. She holds a certificate in Computer Science for Business Professionals from Harvard University and is currently an MSc Candidate in Industrial Finance and Investment from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.
