James is a 5th year PhD student in Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. His research focuses on the impact of water supply interventions in rural Zambia on household well-being, time allocation, and water quality. His longer term research interests include the expansion and sustainability of piped water systems in low- and middle income countries. He has had the opportunity to live in Zambia for about two years during his PhD as well as work in India on a separate WASH in schools project.
