Doris Kaberia is currently the Millennium Water Alliance Kenya Programs Director and also the Chief of Party for the Kenya Resilient Aridlands Partnership for Integrated Development (Kenya RAPID), $35.5 million dollar USAID/SDC WASH flagship PPP program focusing on 5 ASAL Counties in Kenya.
Ms. Kaberia has a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, USA, a Bachelors degree in Horticulturee from Egerton University in Njoro Kenya, and well as a post graduate diploma on climate change adaptation from CSDI.
She has more than 17 years experience in water sanitation and hygiene program management, food security and livelihoods, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainable community development, grant writing, grants management, program monitoring and evaluation.
Ms. Kaberia is also an expert in pastoral and agro-pastoral livelihood programming in drought prone Horn of Africa. She also has extensive experience leading and managing USAID, OFDA, ECHO, DANIDA, EC, AUSAID and DFID funded programs.
Prior to joining MWA in 2013, Doris was the Livelihoods Sector Manager for CARE International in Kenya from 2008 to 2012.
