Program Partners
The 2015 Sustainable Building Research program partners are:
- GRID Alternatives Colorado- Partners with tribal communities to help them achieve their clean energy goals while providing financial savings and job training opportunities to improve their members' quality of life. Students will complete a one day hands on training on a residential solar panel install with GRID Alternatives.
- Community Rebuilds- Assists low income families in building energy efficient housing for the workforce in Moab, Utah, and provide education on sustainability. Students will participate in a two day straw bale construction workshop led by Community Rebuilds staff, Eric Plourde.
- Redfeather Development Group- Partners with American Indian nations to develop and implement sustainable solutions to the housing needs within their communities. Students will research and evaluate energy efficiency and air quality of straw bale homes built by Red Feather at the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana.
