- You Asked. We Listened. The University Libraries would like to thank the hundreds of students and faculty who filled out our recent user survey. We’d like to share what we learned. We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.
- The Office of Information Technology is looking for students to participate in a 35-minute interview, from Oct. 10-28, about their online experience at CU Boulder. Participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift card in return for their participation. Please sign up if interested.
- In 1899, 23 years after the University of Colorado Boulder was established, a Greek professor began his career at the university. After three decades of service, 22 of which were as CU president, the school was forever changed.
- Hosted by the Women’s Resource Center, Crafternoons offer students, faculty and staff an outlet for expressing their creativity and an opportunity to meet people, make connections, and express their imagination and creativity. There is no cost for the event, which is held three times per semester.
- Parking and Transportation Services introduced parking changes for CU Boulder permit holders for the 2016 CU Boulder Football season. Click through for details on how this may affect you on gameday.
- This past month more than 150 managers, supervisors and HR liaisons have attended a 45-minute, in-person briefing where Human Resources-Organizational and Employee Development presented an overview of a new, comprehensive year-long onboarding program for new employees.

- Emergency Management and OIT have partnered up to release Alertus, a client installed on computers that issues a pop-up alert when there is an emergency on campus. The notification is only released to those on the campus network, and is in addition to text message and email notifications.
- The CU Boulder campus alcohol agent will host several "TIPS" server classes and "Alcohol Service on Campus Policy" classes throughout the school year, to ensure compliance when serving alcohol at events on campus.
